Three C’s
Community – Corporate – Charity
Do you ever get caught up in the momentum of doing and
forget to take the time to think?
Many times, our problems stem from acting before thinking.
We confuse activity with
productivity. But progress and
productivity always require thought! Choices
Community:
Community can be a social group of
any size whose members reside in a specific locality, or a social,
religious, occupational, or other group sharing common characteristics or
interests and being distinct in some respect from the larger society within
which it exists. For Choices
Atlanta, community is a fellowship in which we welcome women to join
together for the betterment of those around them, wherever it may be, to
form an environment of positive influence, integration, and fulfillment of
needs, as well as a shared emotional connection.
True community:
Possessing a deep respect for and truly listening to the needs of the other
people in community. This definition reflects a deep yearning in every human
soul for the compassionate understanding from one's fellows.
Choices Atlanta provide
speakers in Atlanta communities including high schools, college groups,
church groups, hospitals, non-profit organizations, moms clubs, etc.
We host coffees and workshops for:
Moms of
young children
– A mother’s work is priceless and provides invaluable benefits to all.
As Ann Crittenden wrote in 2001,
“The
very definition of a mother is selfless service to another.”
There
is no perfect mother. Every
mother has different challenges and different skills and abilities to deal
with their unique family, and so a mother’s choices are different and
unique. Through our Choices
Atlanta gatherings, we give mothers an understanding of how they are valued
and that they are the first transmitters of values to their children. "One
of the key messages that we try to transmit is that the joys of motherhood
come from living in the moment." We
encourage women to achieve balance in their lives according to their ideals
and how to live their priorities by making good decisions that shape the
direction in their lives.
Education – Academic intelligence is an
important exploit for a university student.
However, just as important is personal development.
To aid in this achievement, Choices Atlanta presents educational
workshops for university sororities. We
recognize the importance of forming leaders with strong character and
discipline skills that they will use their entire life. The key note speaker
for these workshops is a recent college graduate who understands the
importance and consequences of one’s choices.
Non-Profit Organizations –
Choices
Corporate: A corporation is a group of persons united in an industry or profession. The most effective way to foster trust in corporations is through leadership and a commitment to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. “To be a leader, you have to make people want to follow you, and nobody wants to follow someone who doesn't know where he is going.” - Joe Namath
Charity:
Charity is a generous action or service that brings aid.
