Workshop presented by Dr. Kathy Ravielle for the Drake House
Choices Atlanta's presented their third annual workshop this summer in Roswell at The Drake House which provides apartments for women and their small children.

Christy Merritt director of programs at The Drake House
invited Choices Atlanta to provide the residents an educational talk on PMS
and depression that women can face. Dr. Raviele a speaker for Choices
Atlanta presented an outstanding life skills talk about the emotional highs
and lows of a woman's cycle and this opened the large group of women with
different thought provoking questions. In her talk she pointed out that at
the young age of twenty five is when your brain is fully developed, helping
them understand the why so many women can make immature choices that can
cause life changing consequences.
“From talks like these women gain valuable knowledge and skills to
use as they move forward and find stability for their family. The
information was very timely and informative,” said Christy Merritt.
Dr. Raviele's message clearly helped them understand how
the health of their body can influence their emotions and decisions. She
encouraged them to seek advice or help from their doctor, especially when
they are feeling overwhelmed with the pressures of being a single mom with
children and no place to turn.
Dr. Raviele serves as a member of the Choices Atlanta’s
Advisory Board. Dr. Kathy is an OB/GYN physician practicing in Atlanta and a
nationally acclaimed spokesperson on behalf of women's issues.
