Spring, 2009 - UGA Educational Workshops, Speaker: Katie Showalter

On November 18th, Kim Weigel, from Choices Atlanta, presented 'Finding Peace Within the Demands of Motherhood' to the Prince of Peace Women's Guild.  Is finding peace possible when you have three children involved in everything, a husband who travels all week, and a fulfilling career?  Super Mom Kim's life was busy, involved, and amazing, but it was  anything but peaceful as she tried to juggle being everything for everyone all at the same time.  Kim wasn't taking care of herself.  It wasn't until a crises hit that she was able to step back, prioritize, and make some difficult choices. Choices Atlanta: Women Balancing Life works in collaboration and cooperation with other community non-profits to promote and provide education to the many different women’s groups. Our mission is to help them better fulfill their family, personal and professional responsibilities in knowing the value and understanding the impact of one’s “choices” in life.

 In June, Choices Atlanta conducted a life skills class for The Drake House in Roswell, GA. (MORE)

We present women with the opportunity in integrate and better fulfill their important role in the family as well as their personal and professional aspirations and responsibilities to achieve their true fulfillment. We are a voice for an integral understanding of womanhood in all its dimensions.
